Is a really happy girl who was born here in 2002. While she is very friendly with us (her family) she tends to be reserved with visitors. In spite of this she has produced some very friendly puppies. Some of her genetic makeup comes from two different bloodlines of arctic heritage. Her fathers bloodlines originated from Axel Heiberg Island in 1961 and part of her mothers bloodlines originated from Bathurst Island in 1976. Lexie has played a vital role in our breeding program and has produced some phenomenal offspring that have far exceeded our expectations.( See Yeti, Minnik and Mannai's pages.) Her mate is Axel, who also shares some common but distant genetic ancestry with Lexie. This has been one of the factors that has enabled us to produce offspring with exceptional appearances. We do breed Lexie and
Axel for other facilities,that want
their offspring, however we do not
necessarily encourage
facilities with lesser
experienced trainers
to acquire offspring
from this pair, for
use in ambassador
work. They are
not aggressive,
they are just more
sensitive during
their developmental
stages and
easier to make
mistakes with.
